Bifocal

Markdown editor for Mac · macOS 15 or later

Bifocal shows a Markdown file as plain text and as a formatted page, side by side. You can edit in either view.

Features

• Edit the formatted page directly. Only the part you change is rewritten in the Markdown; the rest of the file is left exactly as it was.
• Three layouts: source only, side by side, or formatted only.
• Tables, task lists, footnotes, math, Mermaid diagrams, highlighted code and callouts.
• Paste or drag in images. They are saved in a folder next to the document.
• Opens and saves ordinary .md files. No account, and it works offline.
